The Tower Hamlets Youth Sport Foundation offers an exceptional range of competitive sporting opportunities which compliment other programmes and initiatives, allowing children to put their newly developed skills and knowledge into practice.
There are four distinct levels of competition that schools and pupils can get invovled with:
- INTRA-SCHOOL – Within a school (individual events, ladders, inter-form, inter-house, sports days etc.)
- CLUSTER BASED – Within a cluster of schools (usually led by SSCos, shaped to meet cluster needs and complimenting borough competitions)
- BOROUGH COMPETITIONS – Accessible to any borough school, but sometimes filtered via cluster competitions (organised by borough sport-specific leads, supported by NGB, leading onto regional competitions where possible)
- REGIONAL/NATIONAL – Usually requires application or invitation for entry, sometimes filtered via borough competitions (administered externally, usually by NGBs or School sport Associations but TH schools’ participation often facilitated by the Partnership)
